The Story

Brand new crimper

  • Position 1: 0.5 to 1.0 mm
  • Position 2: 1.5 to 2.5 mm
  • Position 3: 4.0 to 6.0 mm
  • Suitable for insulated terminals.

Note about crimped connections :

Crimping was invented by AMP Incorporated in 1941 as a solderless method for terminating wires and connectors. When done right, a crimped connection can be much stronger and longer lasting than a soldered connection, and have electrical resistance of the equivalent lenght of wire. A properly done crimp is also gas-tight as well, not allowing oxidation to degrade it over time. Note your factory connections are all crimped.
